If you need extra coins for tomorrow’s igloo and furniture catalogs, why not give it a shot? I polled a couple of experts around here and got some tips for the game:

Expert #1 – “Do lotsa backflips!”
Expert #2 – “Grind all the corners.”
Expert #3 – “Crash on purpose to buy more time! Seriously!”

I tried ‘em out! I even managed to get a couple of hundred coins in one game… Still, I think I can safely say one of my faves still is making dessert pizzas on the Pizzatron 3000. What’s your high score? Let me know – and share any tips you’ve got.

Today Club Penguin founder (Billybob) wrote a post for the new year (2010)

Look at the top right hand corner on the Picture. Its a Squid(Underwater Creture). The bottom right corner its a Puffle(I think its a Purple one. The Purple one can go under water to). Well, we all know what the other one is…. Herbert! It looks like were going to have an other mission.

I bet you guys a CLUB PENGUIN MEMBERSHIP that its got something to do with underwater!

The Holiday Party has come to a close, and we want to wish everyone a huge thanks for making it a success! We’ve heard from a lot of you wondering what’s coming up in the new year. Well, I can say for sure that 2010 is going to start off with a bang! A new event’s on the way that will lead penguins into secret places! More games are incoming too that will test your skills!

Look for all new jobs and mysteries… And maybe even a certain polar bear…

Q: Can you tell us any game secrets so we can collect coins faster?

A: There are games where bringing a certain color puffle will help you! There’s also the challenge of getting through Jet Pack Adventure without earning a single coin. There’s a big reward if you can do it.

Q: Any suggestions for penguins who want to do extra things to celebrate the season?

A: Well, Coins For Change is such a good time for helping others, so I’d suggest helping other penguins. Maybe if you see new penguins, give a tour! If someone’s looking for the pin, help them out. (Pssst… the in-pay is in the orest-Fay!)

Q: Are there other ways for penguins to celebrate Coins For Change?

A: There are lots of things you and your friends and family can do to make a difference for other people around the world! Volunteering some time is a good place to start.

Club Penguin might be getting old school  clothes!

• There are practice mats for 2, 3, and 4 players. You can play with friends there.
• If you talk to Sensei, and you pick the “Earn your Fire Suit” option, he’ll set up a match. You get more experience points if you do this.
• You can enter new offline trading card codes and you’ll get cards added to your online deck. You won’t see the animations in the Card-Jitsu Fire game but you can see them if you’re playing the original Card-Jitsu game.

How to Play:

• On your turn, select the stone which determines the spaces you move, choose your tile (you have 2 options), and then you’ll pick your card to determine the outcome of the round.
• If you land on one of these, – choose a card. The highest number wins. If you don’t have the element, you cannot win that round.
• If you end up with this symbol, or if you land on the same space as an opponent, you’re going to have a Card-Jitsu battle – the elements determine the winner (water beats fire, etc. as in the original Card-Jitsu).
• If you end up on this symbol,  you get to choose which of the 3 elements you’d like to play!
• If you’re playing and someone quits, you get the experience points. If you quit, you don’t get any points.

With all this exciting fire stuff, don’t forget the important element of snow… The Great Snow Maze and snowy sport celebrations start Friday at the Ski Village.

The game officially launches November 24th and the island’s heating up!! I wanted to give you guys a sneak peek into what the new ninja fire journey might have in store for you… This is from one of the new power cards above.

Inside the new tins (including the Card-Jitsu Fire Sensei Collector tin) there’s a sheet so you can check off the Trading Cards that you’ve got!! The cards are available now at a lot of places including Target, Walmart, Toys ‘R’ Us, and Disney Stores. You can also get them online at Disney.com – and the CP Online Shop starting November 24th.

· You’ll be using the cards you have already collected. But it’s not just Fire cards – you’ll be able to master the element of fire but you’ll have to use all the elements to do so.

Since the video came out, lots of you have been asking how to get ready to play the new game. The first step to is to become a ninja:

    * Head to the Dojo to train
    * After you earn your belts and beat Sensei, he’ll give you your Ninja Mask

Once you’re a ninja, get the golden Amulet and head to the new Fire Dojo! I can’t give away all the surprises… but I can tell you that up to 4 ninjas can play at once!! And just like in the original Card-Jitsu game, you’ll be able to enter codes from your offline cards to add to your online collection.
